Thoughtful, functional, and, of course, elegant, this is the dream house of a young family of four. In addition, everything in the house had to withstand the activity of two small children and a 100-kilogram dog. The architects designed a very modern house with an extremely functional interior.

Understanding and adapting your home to your family's individual needs and lifestyle is key to creating a comfortable living space. The task was undertaken by architect Alicia Murphy from the Alicia Murphy Design studio.

Space to live

The ground floor is a living space for the whole family. They have a large, spacious living room that is used for meetings for the whole family. Everyday life takes place here, guests are welcomed here.

Open, well-equipped kitchen with space for preparing meals. You can also eat a quick breakfast here, sitting comfortably at the island with a beautiful marble top. Right next to it there is a dining room - a comfortable place to feast together.

Safe, easy-to-maintain and durable materials were used everywhere.

The staircase detail with white oak moldings is both functional and beautiful. The clients wanted full glazing on the front elevation, but the interior of the house was too visible from the street, so oak slats provide privacy and also create a really cool play with shadows.

Space to play

On the first floor, the girls, the daughters of the owners of the house, share one large room. The designer built beds on platforms, so the girls have a really open space to play and spend time. Everything in the favorite color of little ladies.

Plus a beautiful garden and swimming pool. The girls love their new home!
